Natalie Sharp

Facial Cartographer

This week I want to draw your gaze towards the work of face and body painter Natalie Sharp. It pains me to use such prosaic titles because they do so little to describe the depths of her talents. Her blog is an easy bookmark: covering a vast array of projects from commercial work, to collaborative projects, or my personal favourite, a youtube tutorial on the best way to store and arrange your paints.

Often using herself as the canvas and always with stunning results. When I spoke to her last week she was talking about the process of shutting out all external influences and heading into a figurative cave of self discovery. It will be interesting to see what she comes up with next.
